Finish The Mission

Our goal is simple….we want to make West Michigan the most Veteran Friendly community in the nation!!

To that end, we are extremely proud of the work we are doing to help local veterans in need and ongoing capital improvement projects at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. Working together with community partners and stakeholders allows us to forge the strategic, public / private partnerships needed to enhance the quality of life for our local veterans while laying out a blueprint for other volunteer groups to follow. Our Veterans deserve our very best and we are looking forward to continuing are work with State and Local officials in this unprecedented partnership!

Our short term plan is to continue working in unison with the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans on overdue, underfunded capital improvement projects at the Home while also continuing to assist individual veterans in need. Please note that 100% of the net proceeds taken in by Finish the Mission Veteran Relief Fund go directly to these services!! Last year we rebuilt the Veterans Home Band Shell and we are currently working with the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency, local contractors, suppliers and others to help rebuild the Solarium there, which is much needed and long overdue. With your help, we will accomplish this goal while also helping individuals across the area!!

On behalf all of the volunteers of the West Michigan Freedom Cruise, Finish the Mission Veteran Relief Fund and West Michigan veterans and their families, we thank you for your past help and ask that you please consider supporting us again this year! Our committee has been working hard on our next Freedom Cruise event in June and we would love to see you come out to support us! Please remember that we are a completely volunteer organization with 100% of the net proceeds going to Veterans in need. We are working closely with the Kent County Veteran Services and the State of Michigan to guarantee all resources and funding opportunities are exhausted before we “stand in the gap” as a safety net to ensure quality of life issues for veterans are addressed as quickly and efficiently as possible!!

Thank you so much for your support!!

Sincerely,
